Baldr, an active Service Dog in Training (SDIT), is available for placement as I do not require a third Service Dog.
Baldr successfully completed a six-week puppy class at Petco, earning his Star Puppy and CGC titles. He has also achieved CGCA, CGCU, and trick dog novice titles, as well as VHMA certification.
Baldr has participated in dog shows and secured 3rd place in the B-Pup group.
He is up-to-date on all vaccinations and easily consumes his supplements and vitamins.
Baldr adores attention and is great with children. While he may initially get excited, he responds well to treats and can exhibit polite behavior. He enjoys sleeping in bed and cherishes snuggling with his humans.
In terms of obedience, Baldr knows a variety of commands including Sit, Down, Stand, Stay, Wait, Come, paw commands for left and right, jumping up, giving hugs, placing two feet on the lap, retrieving toys, nose touching, Go to bed, Go to crate, Leave it, Drop it, circling left and right, sitting in heel positions on the left and right, and is currently working on public heeling. Additionally, he has begun scent work for migraine alert, shellfish and cinnamon detection, as well as rat finding for barn hunts. He is proficient in navigating under, over, and through obstacles, maintains focus, responds to release commands, keeps feet on the floor on command, and understands “mind your business” to leave other dogs and people alone. Baldr is also trained to be quiet and not howl.
He demonstrates obedience both on and off-leash and exhibits good manners in various settings including the home, stores, parks, and pet-friendly dining establishments.
